OLOL Children’s Hospital Interiors

Art Direction, Graphic Design, Interior Design, Environmental Design

In working with an architectural firm for the freestanding Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital, I provided a the color palette, mood boards, mockups, and overall direction to make sure the project matched our hospital’s vision. I also re-drew and expanded the animals from the case statement and created a unified set of critters that could be used for wayfinding, environmental graphics, mascots, and merchandise.

Each floor of the children’s hospital will represent an eco-region from Louisiana. The watercolors from the case statement have transformed into wooden feature walls, large swaths of colors behind nurses stations, and lighting effects. The case statement’s white cover became milky glass elevator lobbies that blend into modern waiting areas inspired by Louisiana’s landscapes. I personally review and direct all interior graphic design decisions as we make the vision a reality.

The project is still underway, and I’m pleased to work with a very talented team as we approach our grand opening in October 2019.
